HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010!

Hopefully next year will be a fruitful year ahead!

Currently busy with my house. Waiting for my 1st appointment with HBD on 5 March 2010. My father in law just bought the floor plan of our house and we are looking for an Interior Designer. Initially from a minor renovation to a major renovation. Now, we need to discuss which concept we want for our house after we went to the 'Modern Living' at EXPO and IMM last week. The expense for our house is escalating.

Whereas for our ROM, it will be on the 28 Feb 2010. Venue is fixed, wedding band is almost done, we just see it last week and its perfect. We are now waiting for it to be engraved. Almost everything is done to date. Last Tuesday, we met up with our solemizer, Uncle Simon. We had a nice talk and he somehow prepared us on our life after marriage and some forms for him to filled up. Now we are ready for the collection date which is a few days before our ROM. Next step, we gonna make decision for our food and decoration.

23 Dec 2009, I had my Christmas' Feast from Bristish Club with my in laws.
24 Dec 2009 (Christmas Eve), I cooked my Christmas Feast for my family.

Menu for Christmas Eve:

Corn and Chicken Soup
Salay with special dressing (my in laws' secret recipe)
Turkey Sandwiches
Turkey Sausages with Chestnut

Started my cooking at 5.30pm and was all ready by 7.15pm. All enjoyed my cooking and so inspired me to cook more in the future.

Thanks for this big present. This is the best present that both Lovie and I ever received for our marriage. Words are difficult for us to express our gratitute to the both of you. Waiting, waiting and waiting! A month of waiting for my balloting result out. Balloting for my chalet and HDB application. So many things hanging in the air and unable to proceed with.

Wednesday, Lovie and I went for our ROM celebration venue viewing. We love the three exclusive initmate venues. And we had emailed the necessary details inclusive of menu, etc, to my future parents in law for approval. Overall, ROM celebration is not confirm yet.

Our customize wedding bands will be ready in January. Can't wait to see it!

Today is my birthday!
Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me!

No celebration today since Lovie is working so we celebrated in advance yesterday. Not much of a celebration because the day before he had just bought our wedding band which already cost him a bomb. I asked him to cancel his reservation at Jaan, Fairmont Singapore. He knows that I like that place very much, but I don't want him to have a big hole in his pocket since I'm not working and he is paying for everything. Its ok! I still had my ice cream from Swensen and dinner at Jack's Place!

I really appreciated what he had done for me and I felt so blessed to have him by my side. Very soon, I will be his Lim Tai Tai! hehe.... :P

Recently, I had been into watching 'Easy Fortune, Happy Life'. A very nice Taiwan drama.

Lastly, Thanks to my dear sister for the presents.

1 November 2009 will be my dearest beloved grandpa's 1st year death anniversary. Still can't really accept that he is no longer with us. I really miss you, ah gong!

Last Saturday was Sharon and Kunshou's wedding, I was up early at 5 am to get ready to Sharon's place! Had a great gatecrashing! I was so touched when Brian and I witness their matrimony ceremony. My tears almost rolled down my cheek. Had a real hard day that day!

Mummy, brother and my cousin Jeremy will be going to visit my sis soon. They will be going to LA first then followed by Arizona. So envy! I will be staying home to wash all the clothes and help my mummy to do the accounts! If not because of time and budget constraints, I will follow them too, leaving my poor Lovie behind. SAD, Sad, sad!

Just went to open the letterbox and received Dewei's mail. Finally, montage is done after so many months!

A great show from the STOMP!
Audiences were super high and lots of interaction between STOMP and the audiences. After the performance, went to buy soya beancurd for supper.

Last night, finished watching my favourite Hong Kong Drama. Ending was not really what I expected, so sad! After watching, I had to sneak back to my room before Lovie found out that I slept so late.

Next, I wanted to put all the blame to my dear lovie! So disappointed with him just because he had no more leave left for the year which cause me, mum and dad (parents in law) unable to go Hokkaido, Japan for holiday.

Yesterday was the fitting. Everything went well but the dresses are very limited.

Anyway that fitting is not mine. Its for my friend, Sharon's wedding. I will be her sister on that day. My experience with that bridal shop is not really that good.

My dear sis, please come back quickly, your 'da jie fu to be' and I are seriously considering Jan - Mar 2010 for our ROM. I really hope that you can be here with me. I don't know how to plan for my ROM, Don't know what to do first. Really need you!

Saturday, Lovie and I attend the exclusive TianPo's showcase and we met Jason and Liyan too. We don't really find the Soulmates Jewelleries beautiful. We indeed received some nice gifts (a pendant, ring pillow,etc.)

Then after that, we went Plaza Singapura with my mum, brother and grandma to change the SCV box to the new Hubstation. Hubstation is cool!

Next, we head down to the Vivo City for dinner and Haagen Dazs for chocolate fondue. Grandma said that she that a great time that day with Lovie and my brother's entertainment.

Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, I stayed at home to watch TV, do homework.

Sharon's wedding is coming!

2 weeks from now, I'm going for my fitting... excited! Lovie won't be able to see me in the beautiful dress. Too bad, my dear!

Today, I called a property to find out the valuation for the unit on sales. A 5 room unit at my parents' block, valuation is $367K and the owner is asking for $420K which means they are asking for $52K cash payment. Its way off our budget especially during this property blooming period. So we gonna wait till the blooming period ends before we can get our home sweet home.

Its seems like ROM, wedding, flats and babies are getting onto our way. Lots of things requires to sit down and discuss. Sometimes, really wonder is this what I wanted!

Woke up at 7am, did not had a good sleep. Results turned out not really good. I had a mixed feeling, satisfied / not satisfied, contented / not contented. Corporate Finance got to retake and Principles of Accounting and Financial Intermediate scored a Third Class Honors.

Next, went to the temple to visit my beloved grandpa and breaked this news to him. I asked him whether he is happy with my results using a coin and you know what? He is happy with my results. I asked him another question whether he likes Brian to be his grandson in law and again... he likes him to be his grandson in law too!

In the evening, made a trip back to school for some administrative issues. Paid another $1050 for the retake module.

Then off to meet Lovie.

Its my 2 years and 6 months with Lovie. Planned to give him a surprise by watching his favorite Lion Dance Competition which we had missed last year.

So after school, Lovie picked me up from my school then off to Orchard for dinner. We went to Ngee Ann City's CENTRAL HONG KONG CAFE (opposite the RAMEN).

Then Head down to the 15th Annual Ngee Ann City Lion Dance Championship. The standard of performance had increase tremendously.

Went to school and during the second half of the lesson, I left due to the reason of not feeling well. Feeling very cold. So went home and see Dr Lam for GP. Lovie was sick too. I had a high fever of 39.4, a serious food poison and stomach flu. (CLUE: The place i had for dinner on 2 September. No wonder that cafe is quite quiet.)

All my tuition was canceled and Lovie did not go to work too. We had been sharing on the same medicine yet not feeling any better at all.

5 September 2009

Both of us woke up at 3am because we are in pain and can't get to sleep. We rushed down to Mt Alvenia Hospital's 24 hours Clinic. Doctor advised us to admit to the hospital for drip but both of us refused. I don't wanna stay in the hospital, I'm scared and its seventh month.

Both of us as per normal still visit my grandma.

Stayed at Lovie's house for the night.

4th day in pain. Too tired to take a walk at the park with Lovie and his family so laid in bed the whole day till future mother in law ask me not to stay in the room.

Watched the 102 minutes footage on the 911, Terrorists attacked on the New York's World Trade Centre.

7 September 2009

5th day in pain. Having mense, what a double combo! Luckily had been taking the 'Bai Fong Wan', a chinese tonic, so cramps wasn't as painful as before.

Tuition was canceled again.

8 September 2009

6th day in pain but getting better now. Finally, I took the courage to tell my future parents in law about my results and they dont seems to be happy with it. They seems like putting a supportive front so not to disappoint me. After dinner, went back home while Lovie goes to work. 3 days never go home, I missed my mummy! Just finished tuition with Trisha and she made a card for me.... so sweet and I hugged her!

It's Teachers' Day tomorrow! This is the first time I celebrate Teachers' Day! My students bought me some gifts. Khairul told me that he only bought key chain for his school teachers, but for me, he bought me a key chain and also a box of red pens because my red pens are always running out of ink. So touched...

Not only being touched, they also make me proud too. One got 82/100 and another got 82.5/100 for their maths. Well done kids!

Tomorrow my results will be out too, so worried that I will not be able to make it for Corporate Finance. I hope my dearest beloved grandpa will bless me from heaven. Ah gong, I love you and I miss you so! I will visit you tomorrow at the temple and I hope to tell you good news about my results.

Updates for the past one week!

Saturday, went out with lovie to orchard ION to have a look at the talk of the town shopping centre. Lots of prestiges brands there. Had a quickie dinner at the FOOD OPERA. An enjoyable day, holding my lovie's hand, eating my favourite ice cream and enjoying Samba Mamba Music by SMU.

Sunday, lovie's parents and grandpa pick us up from my place and head down to British Club for lunch. So much laughter from ah gong's 4D and garden's monkey jokes. Then followed by a movie, WHERE GOT GHOST.

NATAS FAIR is here again, but lovie got to work so unable to make it. Too bad, we had been wanting to go for a holiday but due to planning for ROM, gonna delay. Money, money and money... still got to talk to his parents for a celebration. I don't want a hush hush ROM. Have been discussing this issue since last year before my grandpa past away, then due to his death got to postpone then till this year, then year end again. Finally, came out with 15 November 2009 but we felt that its too rush to get prepared. I felt that I'm getting more and more prepared to have a baby in my life than getting married. Still not sure whether to see Dr. Peter Chew as my gynaecologist, lovie is indecisive.

Holidays had ended, school has reopen. School works had made me a little more busy than before. I had been making changes to my modules for this year. Finalize with, (1) Principles of Marketing (2) Microeconomics (3) Management Science Methods (4) Investment Management (5) Information System and Organization.

I'm still giving tuition and sometimes as a relief teacher for primary school. Nothing has change in this area but having a hard time accommodating it into my school schedule.

Next, a lot of things had been giving me headaches. Bank draft to be send out to London, school fees to settle and HEALTH. Had been seeing so many doctors, even try self medication yet relapse again and again.

Lastly, future mother-in-law giving us problems and things is not going smooth. Her 'Menopause' and her 'Empty Nest Syndrome' is driving me up the wall. I felt that I have been playing my part well as a future daughter-in-law to prevent conflicts and misunderstanding but why things are not cleared. What is still lacking? I really have no idea. Does continuously accommodating helps? But within me, I have millions of unwillingness. I think today she had gone to the extreme 'health freak'. She had boiled some broccoli and packed some bananas from Brunei and want us to bring out and eat with our dinner. Imagine, eating my Roti Prate with broccoli? How long can I take her?
